As everyone is no doubt aware, the holiday season is fast approaching. As we get into the festivities, I hope that we all, as Browncoats, can give back to the community.

CSTS helped spearhead the effort to achieve legal, economical and social rights for women around the globe. Now, perhaps we should each look to a more local effort. It doesn't really matter what it is so long as it's close to your heart.

To promote the wonderful generosity that has become synomynous with "Browncoat", Daytona Beach Browncoats is running a little challenge: Donate your time and efforts to a cause you believe in and then tell the DBB crew about it. We'll post all the entries on the website anonymously and the whole of DBB will vote on who gave back the most to his/her community.

Here's the fun part - the winner of this little contest will garner the following: a 4-pack of tickets to CSTS 2010; a VIP dinner with the Crew of DBB after the CSTS screening; a little goodie-bag full of Browncoat shinies; and an autographed prize that will remain top secret until CSTS 2010!

Here's the fine print part - DBB will require each contender provide contact details for a supervisor at the venue where he/she donated his/her time. Talk to us if that's not possible. The contest will be open from October 1st to December 31st. All entries must have been performed within the contest time frame! One entry per individual, please. In order to submit an entry, email your accomplishments and contact details (both yours and your supervisor's) to DBBrowncoats@yahoo.com. Voting will have it's own little set of rules so no need to post them here yet.

We'll need to raise a bit of cashy as a group in order to host next year's movie-show.

We'll need more volunteers to help with decorating, advertising, and all manner of other activities.

We'll need vendors again!
